Application
Vinyl ester resin is made by the chemical reaction of epoxy resin and methacrylic acid through ring-opening addition. It is usually called vinyl ester resin (VER), which is a thermosetting resin. It not only retains the basic chain segment of epoxy resin, and has the good process performance of unsaturated polyester resin, so that vinyl ester resin adhering to the epoxy resin of high strength, high toughness, alkali resistance and other excellent characteristics, at the same time curing and formability, etc., can be dissolved in styrene and acrylic monomer. So since the 1960s, it has been rapidly developed and widely used in various industries
Characteristics
1, The use of methacrylic acid, methyl ester bond edge can achieve protection effect, improve hydrolysis resistance;
2, low ester bond content, per mol than chemical resistance polyester is 35 to 50% lower, so that alkaline resistance is improved;
